Sugartown

Sugartown is a contemporary one-story home that was designed by 74-year-old Earle Fralick in 1980 for 34-year-old Bob Douglas. The living area of the house wraps around an indoor pool that was once covered by a retractable glass ceiling. The pool has been removed and replaced with a modern, spacious kitchen that has become the central hub of the home, creating flow and openness to all the surrounding rooms and outdoor spaces. Now, the views and focal points of the house are the custom-designed wine room and the natural surroundings, which give the feeling of being removed from the outside world.
